Tribal Youth Gaming Protection Initiative: Coming Soon!

Keepers of the Path

A TCRG Initiative · Version 1.0 · 2026

Protection shouldn't start at 21, it should start when risk starts. Keepers of the Path is TCRG's sovereign-led answer to a gap that isn't being adequately addressed.

"Look and listen for the welfare of the whole people and have always in view not only the present but also the coming generations, even those whose faces are yet beneath the surface of the ground."

The Great Law of Peace, Haudenosaunee Confederacy

The Initiative

Four pillars. One path.

Keepers of the Path is organized around four interwoven pillars, each as program layer with its own cultural grounding and function. Together they form a complete ecosystem, not a checklist. The path moves in all directions at once.

The Faces Yet to Come

Why we protect.

The foundation. The case for this work. The answer to anyone who asks why youth protection is a Tribal responsibility, rooted in the Seventh Generation principle.

Roots & Branches

They are the branches of everything we grew to be.

The family and community layer. Parents, guardians, elders, and organizations as partners in protection, because the work moves through relationships.

The Seventh Fire

Prepare to pass it on.

The education layer. Awareness, financial literacy, and addictive design literacy delivered through schools, youth programs, and community spaces.

The Long House Initiative

Collectively, we shelter them.

The systems layer. Youth protection pathways, voluntary safeguards, sovereign data governance, and policy development. Connected to TWSEP infrastructure.

The Gap This Fills

Most responsible gaming infrastructure was built for adults. And not for Indigenous communities.

Children introduced to gambling by age 12 are four times more likely to develop a gambling problem. Sports betting normalization, loot boxes, and skin betting expose Tribal youth to gambling mechanics with no regulatory protection in place. Keepers of the Path is the Tribally-led answer, built inside sovereign nations, not imposed from outside them.

In Development~2026

Keepers of the Path is being built now.

TCRG is actively developing the Keepers of the Path framework for Tribal partner adoption.

TCRG will be selecting 5-6 Tribal nations to participate in a founding pilot program. Pilot partners will help shape the initiative from the ground up, bringing their community's voice, cultural knowledge, and regulatory expertise into the framework before it scales.
